Opening Reception Thursday May 17, 4-pm at The Historic Taos Inn Asmus paints in a representational style.
Many of the paintings include animals interacting with people and places.
Asmus’ desire to document historical and iconic architecture, especially the many churches and capillas which dot the landscape, should also be noted. Without painting from photographs, he can replicate from memory the wonder and splendor of the many ceremonies he’s attended over the years.
Stewart Davies and wife Lea, both 46, employed him to do more than £100,000 of work on their home last year.
The job included a large extension on the back of the property in Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire.
