Nb the update I cannot do is 1.4mb but I am anticipating windows will throw me a new update any day soon which could be anywhere from 30mb to 200mb and it could fail all of it leaving me prone to attacks.
Microsoft security essentials not updating dating etiquite
Worse yet, Windows 10 is very confused, since Windows Defender is basically the same program. This is because Windows Defender is basically the same thing. If you try to uninstall the program, you get this: Well, that’s lame. From this point on, you can pretty much forget that Windows Defender is there.
According to Microsoft, when you upgrade to Windows 10, MS Security Essentials should be uninstalled automagically. You can tell you still have Microsoft Security Essentials running if you see the green icon in your task bar in Windows 10: Oops! You can close the Defender window now and just let it work in the background. If for some reason Defender won’t run, just reboot.
What I found online made references to issues with CCleaner, which I do use occasionally but not often.
It cleans out a temp folder that MSE uses and after the deletion of the content within this folder, MSE refuses to update automatically or forcibly.
Recently, using CCleaner again, I ran into the same problem.
Using the - Windows Repair 1.9.2 tool again, I had no issues after reboot. Just copy and paste the "tweaking.com_windows_repair_aio_setup.exe" into your favorite search engine and the file will be found available from various sources. The only fix that worked for me is this file, "tweaking.com_windows_repair_aio_setup.exe", - Windows Repair 1.9.2.After installing the program I skipped to the last tab, "Start Repairs" and clicked "Start".(although now I think it is just 0%) Can someone please help me as I have had a very successful streak of avoiding viruses by always usin MSE.I don't want, and can't afford to get a virus attack, not to mention Im runnign windows 7 ultimate so I need the windows 7 updates too because the ultimate can be dodgy sometimes. The new system update I believe may be to do with security as-well!!
